Between April 2020 and April 2021, Tech Writers Without Borders partnered with Irish technical communication agency TWi to recruit volunteers to help nonprofit organisations on COVID-19 projects and use their professional skills to help save lives during the global pandemic.

From July-December 2020, Tech Writers Without Borders partnered with RobotsMali to create educational quizzes to keep young students in Mali interested in science and technology during the COVID-19 pandemic and allowing them to continue learning from home, until face-to-face classes could resume.
